I have limited options in my wardrobe for holiday party festivities so I felt compelled to search the stores for other options. I'm not buying anything, of course, I'm just doing a little research.
My favorite find is the lovely, lace dress from BCBG. I found at Macy's for $360. It's deliciously chic and sexy. I could buy it but then I'd have no money for heat and that's a necessity for the impending wintery weather of January.
So I found this other sexy, green number by London Times for $99.
And since I'm spending imaginary money, I popped over to Anthropologie.com to see what I could see. I discovered this polka dot dress is $248. And the floral frock is only $158. I like the vintage feel of these dresses, which almost ensures that you won't see any twinkies at the party.

I am wondering how I'm going to pay my own bills given my shopping spree yesterday . . . Nanette Lepore dress http://www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?product=NL-WD80&c=Nanette+Lepore (of course hemline is knee-length on me!) and Coach shoes (can't find a link but black peep-toe with satin bows)! I have a few dressy parties and my big question is not the bills but - should I do a bare leg or black? (Don't worry that it's an all black outfit - have a cute little colored cropped sweater to save me from the Chicago cold!)

Hey Kim!!! I personally like bare legs for festive events regardless of the season but Chicago does pose a serious cold factor that must be addressed. If you do choose black hosiery, go with decorative tights. You can find them at any department store like Macy's. I like them because they're chic AND they keep you warm! But I'm not worried about you. You're always stylish so I know you'll make the right choice! Let me know how it turns out!
