Doesn't it seem like your winter wardrobe becomes boring and drab after a month or two of dressing for temps below 50 degrees? I know I don't live in a place that indulges in the real crappy winters that involve snow dunes accumulating on the side of your house, but Atlanta still gets cold. And I still get frustrated with my closet during this particular season. Basically I'm just uninspired with looks that involve black, brown, and gray- everyday!
So in an effort to punch up my winter attire, I replaced typical black pumps with these bright pink flats. They're the perfect complement to that dark, it must be winter, suit.
What do you do to brighten your winter wardrobe?

I totally support this! In fact the other day I thought of you when I had on a brown and cream work outfit and spiced it up with a pair of green ribboned ballet flats. Or another day with a canary yellow bag. I've also recently discovered that Spanx has been expanding into more patterns/textures and colors of tights, trouser socks, etc - which is definitely a necessity given it's been between 0 and 10 degrees for the past week in Chicago! This weather is definitely testing my ability to care about how I look but I'm determined not to repeat my Olsen-twins-esque period of over-layering from last winter! ;)

Hey Kim! You always do a good job of mixing color and interesting textures into your outits! I'm glad to see you're accepting the winter wardrobe challenge- being cute in spite of the frigid temps. It's a tricky endeavor my friend. Just be careful because it's a slippery slop to the Olsen twins bag lady layering look! lol
I didn't know Spanx was expanding its product line. I will definitely have to check it out!
