ACCESSORIES: WHERE TO BUY SHOES ONLINE
You may not realize this about me but I actually prefer to shop in the stores and not online. (I know that sounds like crazy talk since I'm always online line shopping.) But I'm a visual person and I love walking through the stores, finding that wonderful surprise on a sale rack, and figuring out how I can transition the item into my wardrobe. But alas, you can't always find what you need in the brick and mortar locations so the internet is an inevitable option. And shoes are the number one key thing I shop for online when I'm looking for something in particular.
Here are some online shoe stores you may want to consider the next time you're looking for a new pair of fabulous shoes.

If you read this blog regularly, you know that Zappos is my favorite site for internet shoe buying. The thing a love about Zappos is that they have free shipping both ways (so you can return anything that doesn't fit) and they have tons of products reviews from actual customers. If you're looking for a purple, 2-inch sandal, you can set the detailed search parameters for that exact shoe. Another great perk is that Zappos has a fantastic designer shoe section.
Piperlime is the online shoe project from Gap Inc. (the same company that owns The Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy). The selection on Piperlime is pretty decent. I especially like the sale and final sale sections because the prices are deliciously cheap. (I found a pair of $300 couture shoes for $90!)
And over at Shoes.com, you will find more of the same thing: great selection and free shipping. This site also provides customer reviews and it allows customers to ask product questions which are then answered by other customers. I've got my eye on these Calvin Klein pumps (pictured below).
And if you're looking for something funky that will stand out in a crowd, check out Sole Fetish. I first wrote about this cool online boutique last summer. (You can read the post here.)
STYLEnosh says: Don't miss out on buying shoes online because you can't try them on before purchasing. Most online shoe stores realize your trepidation and that's why they offer free shipping both ways. Since there's nothing to lose, everyone wins!
UPDATE: The new DSW online shoe store is up and open for business! Thanks Crystal for the info!

Still on the hunt for nude heels and flat riding boots...I'll check those sites out...

PiperLime is awesome, but wish they had stores. Online shopping is fab, but love to browse in a store too

I agree with you Lisa. I love to research online but I still prefer the in store shopping experience.
