This part green, part red structure may not look like a goldmine but luckily for you, I'm here to point out all its treasures. (Okay, that may have been a little corny but bear with me.) The name of this sweet little place is Irwin Street Market.
What makes it so great? I'm glad you asked.
This market isn't like any regular ole market. In addition to the trove of wonderful little knick knacks, there's a tasty restaurant inside too. And the collection of vendors housed in this space is phenomenal too. Let's see, there's Jake's ice cream, cupcakes from Sweet Pockets and absolutely divine sweet potato pound cake from Cakes by me and Gee. And if you need a natural skin care line, just walk past the floral area to the front corner of the store that contains Sally's B's Skin Yummies. Once you get past the delicious soaps (they smell incredible) and the luscious lip gloss, you'll see my favorite item: the solid perfume. It's truly yummy.
I spent hours in this haven (because all sensational places have free wi-fi) and I felt like I was at home. So check out the Irwin Street Market for food, gifts for you (and other people too), or just having good time with all the interesting new people you will undoubtly encounter.

NoshBabe,we are ATL natives and we love to see ATL treasures getting pr. The Flower Bar always accomodates the purchase of rose petals. I use them for romantic events on a decently regular basis.Kroger will do this to,but I am in the 4th Ward area at least once a week, so...

How cool! I just read about the market the other day online because I was looking into moving to Atlanta at some point. I'm not sure if I will be or not, but it gives me something to look forward to even if I just get to visit.

Meg, let me know when you're going to be in Atlanta. I'd be happy to give you more info on the other "gems" in the city.
