WHAT I'M WEARING: CHIC CORPORATE LOOK

Dsc02275_2 If you're looking to punchy up your work look, consider wearing a pencil skirt. I think I found this black one at a thrift store for a couple of bucks. After pairing it with a woven shirt from H&M and some designer black pumps, my corporate look goes from sensible to sexy. This outfit takes me from work to a dinner date with minimal effort.

Don't have a pencil skirt in your closet? Check out Ann Taylor Loft. They have a great selection of skirts in dressy and casual looks. And the prices are pretty nice too.

Too cute! I love going into Thrift Stores. I always find wonderful classics.....Especially skirts!

You really should do a makeover show. We have lots of candidates here in the D that could use your help. BTW, do you think the split in the skirt shown is too high for conservative corporate America?

I plan on doing a makeover show one day. I'll keep you posted. Now about that split being too high for corporate america. You raise a great point WBL. In an a word, yes, It probably is too high for any conservative environment. But I typically push the edges of what's normal for work so I wore it anyway. Note that in a creative workplace, this split would be a-okay.
