I love this dress. Well actually, it's a skirt that I choose to wear as a dress. The ruching at the top makes it the perfect candidate to sport as a dress instead of its original intention. And its simple, flowy style is the epitome of summer.
Paired with black white polka dot shoes and my new favorite Kate Spade clutch/tote, this easy look goes from shopping to dinner with very little effort. Oh, and it's the perfect piece of apparel to beat the summer heat.

Great idea--was it your intention to change the skirt into a dress when you bought it or did that idea come later?
How is your hair in that shot/ Did you cut the twists or is it pinned up?
The red bag makes a big visual difference--I am still working on that lack in my accessories.
Amazon bough Zappos last week.

Great questions August Deed! I knew I would wear the skirt as a dress when I purchased it. Since it's one of those long, flowy skirts, I knew it wouldn't look good on me as a skirt. But re-purposed as a dress, it would prove invaluable. My is pulled back with an elastic band. (I kinda like that look since it tends to make me look younger. :) And definitely venture out and choose a pop of color for your outfits, especially if you're wearing all black, white, or tan. Colorful accessories have a way of taking those outfit from okay to fabulous.
Oh, and thanks about the info on Amazon buying Zappos. I've been so not focused on shoes (since I'm not buying any for the rest of the year) I didn't even hear the news!
