I was out this weekend doing a little shopping/browsing when I got the sudden urge to look for leggings. Now most of you know that I'm not a fan of the rebirth of leggings. Last year I said they should only be worn by the young, thin, or tall. And I'm standing by my original assessment.
When I saw these leopard print leggings at Ross, I giggled all the way to the fitting room because I knew they would look a hot, crazy mess! I know that most people would wear these with a long sweater or a tunic shirt so they wouldn't show all their business. But I couldn't help but ask, SHOULD you really be wearing these out in public. Don't they just scream Peg Bundy? Well, if you recall those dysfunctional episodes of Married with Children, then you remember that Peg may have been a fan of stretch pants but she rarely left the house. Maybe all of us attempting to wear leggings should follow Peg's lead.
Think I'm wrong about leggings? Well send me a picture of someone looking good in them. Oh, and don't send me any models, actresses, or other famous faces. I want to see regular people, with regular lives. No jetsetters or people who have someone there to fluff their hair in the morning.
Okay, it's not too bad.

LMAO Nosh, loving the picture. You are braver than me :-) On a side note I have seen some good looking folks with leggings, that have very toned legs also. Lots of pregnant ladies lately which proportionate thighs and calves. I'll try to sneak some shots.

Mo, thanks for commenting! I tend to agree with you about pregnant women. I can't recall seeing a mother-to-be in leggings and thinking she shouldn't have. Maybe my creed should be for the young, thin, tall, AND pregnant! lol Practice your picture sleuthing skills and you'll get really good, rather quickly. It's really not as hard as you think.

Ashley! Thanks for reading STYLEnosh AND leaving a comment. That's way cool! I do like leggings with a short dress if it meets the young, thin, tall, pregnant criteria. And you definitely fit two of those (young and thin to be exact). :-)

Wow stylenosh!! I am speechless at that pic. All I can say is if they look like that on you and you are healthy and working out all the time then a couch potato like me doesn't stand a chance. LOL at the pic though. Classic!!

Yeah Karla, this pic definitely tells a cautionary tale! lol Oh, and you're not a "couch potato". You're a person that enjoys leisurely activities that tend to occur on the sofa. See, it's all a matter of perspective. :-)
