I know this is considered borderline blasphemous but I'm already starting to miss those crisp fall temps. People in Florida think that everyone would love to soak up their sunshine instead of dealing with below 60 degree weather and fall jackets. Since fall is my favorite season, I'm already missing my blazers and fall appropriate footwear. So I'm pooring my lament into a post for what's trendy now and how you can incorporate those trends into your current wardrobe. So let's talk color.
COLOR ME LOUD
Bright colors are listed on many fall must-have lists this season. If you're trying to figure out how to add a bright hue to your wardrobe without looking like pop art, go simple. Try a brightly colored skirt or a blouse and pair it with basic black or gray. Club Monaco shows some fantastic examples of how to do this. (Note: The skirt is from Target's Go International line and cost $27.99.)
This ruffle top from Forever 21 is full of potential. And it's only $19.80. Sure you can wear it with the obvious like jeans or black pants, but how about a gray pencil skirt and a yellow cardigan. Or purple. I know some of you can't fit the girls in those junior-sized Forever 21 shirts, so here's a jacket with ruffle detail from Ann Taylor Loft that will look fabulous at work and on weekends too.
Or if you want to make a easy entree into the world of color, go for a colorful handbag. There are still people who shy away from bags that aren't black or brown. Boy, are you missing out on all the fun! Those skittish individuals should look for a handbag in a classic shape and a pop of color. This leather satchel sold at Urban Outfitters is a great example. It's $198 of timeless bag, with winning colors in every hue.

I love that bag! I am glad it is offered in other colors. I want to check out the mustard or army green.
